I see sellers caught in an early 2018 price mindset, thinking their property is worth more than they could probably get today because last year their neighbor had 20 offers and got well over asking. That was the old market. We are in a new market now. There's more to selling your home than just sticking a sign out in front and waiting for buyers to come. Now is the time you need an experienced, full service Realtor who will work hard to get that perfect buyer.
On the other hand, buyers are wondering if they should wait to see if the housing market crashes. Or, they want to make low-ball offers because they hear dire tales from the news. We are in California, people! In fact Northern California and to be more precise, the Bay Area! We are a very different animal! We have the jobs, the high salaries, the weather and excellent amenities. We also have a lack of space to build enough new homes to satisfy demand.
